Performance artist Olushola A. Cole, in conjunction with the Afrofuturism:Artists on Three Continents Explore "Black to the Future": exhibit at the Goethe Institute, will present a performance workshop in the Katzen Arts Center Studio Theatre on Saturday, February 1, 2014 from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
If you are interested in performance art or the process of interdisciplinary solo work, there is something for you in this workshop.

Body Vocality Workshops: An Afro-Futurist Focus:
These workshops are physical and vocal improvisation inquiry tanks that encourage development, discovery and growth of one's own individual and/or collective imprint for movement and expression. These improv centered activities - geared towards all levels and abilities will explore movement and vocal possibilities, as well as touch upon concepts, objects and performance motifs from the Afro-Odyssey film repertoire. Participants will walk away having gained an immersion and/or unique exposure to:
· Body/Vocal percussion and movement
· Fun games, a safe adjustable creative environment
· Self-awareness and group dynamic exercises
· Space for personal and group reflection
