The Emerging Arts Leaders Symposium at American University is organized and produced by an Executive Committee of graduate students currently enrolled in the Arts Management program. The following are co-sponsors of the Emerging Arts Leaders Symposium keynote speaker and networking reception.

American University's Arts Management Program

Since 1974, the graduate Arts Management Program has trained students and mentored alumni/ae for careers in nonprofit performing and visual arts organizations both national and international. The goals of this program are to train students for success in a wide range of administrative, managerial, and leadership positions and to help them become effective advocates for the arts.

Emerging Leader Program

The Americans for the Arts Emerging Leader Program works to identify and cultivate the next generation of arts leaders in America. It is an ideal way for new leaders to share their interests with others as they continue to develop their skills and their commitment to the arts. The Emerging Leader Program targets professionals who are either new to the field, with up to five years of experience, or are 35 years of age or younger. Emerging Arts Leaders DC

Emerging Arts Leaders DC, formerly known as the DC Forum of Emerging Arts Professionals, is a volunteer organization that aims to provide unique professional development and networking opportunities, focused specifically on the arts field, for emerging professionals in the metropolitan Washington area. By targeting emerging arts professionals, either in the first five years of their arts career or age 35 or younger, the Emerging Arts Leaders DC's events provide access to relevant topics and individuals in the arts field that young professionals would not be able to access elsewhere.
