Professor Peach specializes in moral philosophy, applied ethics
(including bioethics, feminist ethics, and legal ethics), religion and politics,
gender and religion, and women's studies.
Professional
activities
In addition to her teaching, Professor Peach is the Director of
Graduate Studies, Faculty Coordinator, General Education Program, member of
the EPC Steering Committee in CAS, and Co-Director of Ethics and Peace M.A.
She is the author of Legislating Morality: Religious Identity and Moral Pluralism (Oxford University Press, 2002), and the editor of Women and World Religions (Prentice Hall, 2002) and Women in Culture: An Anthology (Blackwell Publishers 1998). She has published a number of articles on gender and violence, the ethics of war, and women’s human rights, including the trafficking of women for the sex trade as a human rights violation. She is on sabbatical leave (2003-04).

Education
She holds a Ph.D. in ethics from the Department of Religious Studies
at Indiana University (1995), a J.D. degree from New York University School
of Law (1982), and a B.A. degree from the program in International Education
at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst (1974).
