Consumer Preferences Study Overview

Psychology plays an important role in how we view the world and make decisions about preferences. In particular, it is thought that personality helps determine the way in which we view advertisements and our consumer preferences. This study is designed to better understand how the relationship between personality and consumer preferences.


Consumer Preferences Study Participants

Am I eligible to participate?
This study seeks women that are 18–45 years old and who self identify as either Caucasian or African American.

What do I need to do?
The Consumer Preferences Study will only take approximately 1 hour of your time and is to be completed online at your convenience.

You will be asked to complete questionnaires that relate to your personality and then you will be asked to analyze 10 advertisements and provide feedback as to how effective you thought the ad was to you.

Will I be paid to participate?
You will be given $6-7 in the form of an e-gift-card to the store of your choice (between Target,, and Starbucks) for your time and participation.
