Undergraduate students presenting their work at conferences may apply for funds to partially defray the costs of registration and travel. The awards are $300 for regional conferences, $500 for national conferences, and $800 for international conferences. Applications may be submitted as early as six months in advance of the conference and as late as two weeks before. The conference dates determine the period for which the application will be considered. Funds are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis across these periods:
College of Arts and Sciences students who are giving papers or presenting research at scholarly conferences may request up to $300 or up to $500 for undergraduate and graduate students, respectively, from the College to help defray the expense of attending the conference. These requests will be filled on a rolling basis. Undergraduate students should send the CAS Travel Grant Request application form to to Associate Dean of Undergraduate Studies Celine-Marie Pascal (see email on form) — and please note that students should apply to the Provost Student Travel opportunity (linked above) before applying for this funding.
