Accelerated Bachelor's Degree and Master's in Education Program

Students receive a B.A. or a B.S. in a bachelor's degree program and the Master of Arts in Teaching (M.A.T.) or the M.A. in Special Education: Learning Disabilities.

Getting your Master of Arts in Teaching is Easier Than you Think!

  • you can finish in 12 months (1 summer, 1 fall, 1 spring, 1 summer)
  • you will be ready to apply for a teaching license and start teaching when you graduate
  • up to six credit hours from 500 level courses can satisfy both bachelor's and master's requirements.

Admissions Checklist

Applicants must have a grade point average of 3.00 (on a 4.00 scale) or higher in major and minor courses
Applicants should apply to the MAT or MA Special Education in junior or senior year - (GRE may be waived, please check with the School)

Applicants must earn passing scores (as set by the DC teacher licensing agency) on both the Praxis I exam:
