Andrea
Malkin Brenner (Ph.D., American University) joined the faculty
as a Temporary Assistant Professor in January 2002; she was recently
selected as "Outstanding Professor of the Year" by AU's Student
Confederation. Her research interests include the sociology of
education, teaching introductory sociology, race and the politics
of identity, and diverse family structures. Her specific interest
is in the field of international adoption and identity. Her recent
publications include several article on creative undergraduate
teaching with Pine Forge Press and "too White to Teach Race" in
African Americans and Whites: Changing Relationships on College
Campuses by University Press of America. |
