Esther
Ngan-ling Chow (Ph.D., University of CA-Los Angeles) has published
extensively in the areas of intersectionality of race/ethnicity,
class, and gender; work and family; social inequality; ethnic
community; gender and development; globalization and social
change; migration; economic sociology; feminist theory and pedagogy;
citizenship and human security; policy studies; and Asian American
studies. Her work reflects expertise in both quantitative and
qualitative research methodologies with a new emphasis on participatory
action research. She was a Fulbright New Century Scholar, 2004-2005.
She serves as an elected member on the Council of American Sociological
Association and Co-Chair Elect of Research Committee 32, "Women
and Society" at the International Sociological Association.
