Central American Elites Bibliography

The Central American Elites Bibliography is provided as a resource for scholars, researchers, and students whose work builds on the large body of social science literature that has attempted to keep pace with the profound economic, social, and political changes experienced throughout the Isthmus in recent decades. Building on such foundational works as Torres-Rivas (1969), Dunkerley (1988), and Paige (1997), among others, this resource incorporates the most up-to-date research on elite-state, inter-elite, and elite-society relationships in Central America. For ease of use, the bibliography has been divided into regional and country-specific works.
