Creating Page Sets

Creating a page set is a two-step process. Use this dialog for the first step, which is to specify a location for a new page set. You will then create and define a new Page Set Element. Review this topic in the CommonSpot Contributor’s Reference for more details on implementing Page Set Elements at your site.

Select a Subsite location and click Next to provide standard information for the Page Set, as shown below. Options available in this dialog are defined in the CommonSpot Administrator’s Reference.

To see your site’s page sets, go to your my CommonSpot dashboard, then select My Page Sets from the My Content pulldown.

After selecting a page, click the Metadata and Security icon. CommonSpot displays its Choose Page dialog.

You can easily find the specific Web page by targeting your search. Select the site/subsite and category, and click the “Go” button. A list of pages within the subsites and category display. You can only add CommonSpot pages to a Page Set. You cannot add uploaded documents such as Word, PDF, and Excel to a Page Set.

To add the page to the Page Set, select it and click Use This Page. Continue until you have defined all the pages in the Page Set.

The arrangement of the pages in the list is how the pages are ordered; for example, first page, second page, and so on. In this example,” Haiti Fund page is the first page in the Page Set, Stand with Students for Haiti is the second. To add a new page either above or below a page, click and drag as shown for Haitian Relief Donation page.

(Note: For IE, click on the Name or Title, instead of the entire row.)

To delete a page from the Page Set, click the delete icon or select multiple pages and click Delete within the More Actions dropdown and click the Go button.
