University Curriculum Development Support Award

American University’s Curriculum Development Support Award program provides funds directed primarily toward the improvement of teaching, learning, and the curriculum. Proposed projects might focus on the design or significant revision of new courses, the revision or development of academic programs, the creation of online or hybrid courses or the incorporation of information technology in the classroom.

All full-time tenure-line (tenured and tenure-track) faculty and term faculty on multi-year contracts are eligible to apply. Term faculty on one-year contracts and graduate students may be included as participants in team projects.

Deadline for Submission to Teaching Unit:

Check with your department chair or associate dean (generally late January or early February).

Deadline for Teaching Unit Submission to the Dean of Academic Affairs:
