Michael J. Ginzberg, a management and information systems scholar who has served as a business school dean for more than a decade, was named dean of American University's Kogod School of Business in spring 2011. He has led the successful transformation of the business schools at Yeshiva University and the University of Delaware. Ginzberg has a history of accomplishment in international business education, including introducing the first AACSB-accredited MBA program in post-Communist Europe at the International Management Center in Budapest, and developing Bosnia and Herzegovina's first Western-style business school in fulfillment of a $10 million contract with the U.S. Agency for International Development. After Hurricane Katrina, Ginzberg worked as a pro bono special consultant to the president of Tulane University for one year, leading the effort to develop a strategic vision and implementation plan for the university’s new School of Science and Engineering.
