Course Level: Undergraduate/Graduate

Discussion of the way that anthropologists have used and developed the concept of class as a way to understand patterns of social inequality. The variation in relationships of class to economic, social, and political structures in different societies and how class experiences and struggles influence and are influenced by the cultural norms and values in different social systems. Prerequisite: Two courses in anthropology or graduate standing.
