Ideology, Temporality and Place
Recent work in sociolinguistics and language and culture studies raises challenging questions about space/time reference and its effects on narratives of identity, desire, discontent, and resistance. Seminar activities develop answers to these questions in relation to spoken, written, and visual text. Individual research projects required.
