Explores the diverse socioeconomic, cultural, religious and political factors that affect women including the impact of development itself. Usually offered every fall.

Gender forms a critical concept in the analysis of the well being/ill being of people across the globe. This course focuses on gaining an understanding of the scholarly and practical frameworks of gender analysis and probes the differential developmental impact of socio-economic and political forces on women and men, primarily in the Global South. Usually offered every fall.
