1970s British Recording Techniques (3) This course examines the development of music recording techniques in 1970's era Britain as typified by recordings from classic rock groups such as Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd and Queen and their producers and engineers such as Jimmy Page, Eddie Kramer, Alan Parsons and Roy Thomas Baker. The course includes critical listening, lecture, discussion, hands-on recording using methods created during the period, and in some cases using software simulations in place of analog equipment. Permission: Instructor. Meets with ATEC-596 901 and ATEC-596 902.
