Southern Politics Project |

All files contain precinct election data from the general election unless otherwise indicated. All files are in .zip format. Each .zip file contains a .csv (comma separated variable) file; some also contain readme files that explain the contents of the .csv file. Files from the ROAD Project contain election results from 1984, 1986, 1988, or 1990 at the lowest level of aggregation that can be matched with the U.S. Census racial data included in the file. Election data from the 2000 election is available from the Federal Election Project. The Southern Politics Project was funded by the Program in Political Science of the National Science Foundation (NSF) but the NSF is not responsible for the content of any of these files. |
