David Lublin's 2004 Travel Journal
During 2004, I was sent by the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of International Information Programs to speak about American elections around the world. Below are links to photos and writings from my travels.
	Serbia and Montenegro	I visited Belgrade, Kragujevac, Niš, Novi Sad, Podgorica, Cetinje, and Budva, Kotor, and Sveti Stefan on the Montenegrin coast in May 2004.
	Israel	In September 2004, I visited Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Herzliya, Haifa, and the Arab villages of Ibillin and Tamra in the Galilee.
	Jordan	After traveling to Israel, I crossed the Jordan River and visted Amman, Wadi Rum, Petra, Jerash and the Dead Sea.
	Germany	I flew to Germany from Jordan and arrived in Munich just as Oktoberfest was about to start. I also visited Nürnberg, Stuttgart, Tübingen, Heidelberg, Köln (Cologne), Aachen, Düsseldorf, Hamburg, and Berlin in October 2004.
	Kazakhstan	I visited Almaty, Taldy-Qorgan, and Astana in October and November 2004. Going up the ski lifts into the mountains of Central Asia at Shymbulak, near Almaty, was a highlight.
