SHAPES AND COLORSPeter and Ann are just like you, first graders with a lot of questions on their mind... They want to learn more about the shapes and colors of the world they live in, and they need your help to figure it out. Once, Peter and Ann were sitting by the porch of their house. It was 10pm and they had this conversation that probably you might have had with some of your friends:
Peter: WOW!!!! Look at that!!!!!
Ann: What??? What are you talking about?
Peter: Look, up there, in the sky...
Ann: Yeah... what??? I just see the moon...it is nice!
Peter: I like it, but do you know what kind of shape is it?
Ann: mmm, let me think... shape? what do you mean?
Peter: Well, its form..what does it look like?
Ann: I think it has the "shape" of a.... CD!
Peter: A CD??? Like the one from The Lion King?
Ann: Yeah...
Peter: Well, I don't know, I think that it should have a name, you know everything has names.. sometimes it makes me crazy!
Ann: That is true... remember that our mom said that the moon was "wite"?
Peter: Yeah..you are right... I do not remember very well the name, but I think that a lot of things have different "colors" as they call them...
Ann: I think we should ask our teacher about these... I want to learn!
