Emergency Preparedness at AU:
We encourage all members of the AU community to personally prepare for future emergencies and also familiarize themselves with AU's emergency preparedness plan.
The detailed emergency preparedness plan provides notification instructions and operating procedures in the event of an emergency. The plan is reviewed and updated regularly by representatives from a cross-section of university departments.

In an emergency, AU will communicate with the community using "AU Alerts". These short messages provide information on what is happening, what to do, and links to available additional information. You can customize whether you receive the alerts as e-mail, voice-mail, or text messages, and add additional work or home phone numbers and e-mail addresses so AU Alerts reach you no matter where you are when an emergency occurs.
