an undergraduate research project by Hamman Samuel.
We'll work remotely, as he is at the
American University of Nigeria.
- Limits of groups, and infinite Galois theory,
an undergraduate research project by Erik Borke.
What I'm teaching: Fall, 2008
- MATH 221-002 Calculus I Honors, TF 11:20am-12:35pm, W 11:20am-12:20pm,
Ward 205.
We will use
WeBWorK

This is the study of what's going on behind the scenes of everything,
almost.
Initial handouts and regular announcements will be posted on
Blackboard.
During the Spring term of 2008, I
lost a bet with my Calculus 2 section.
What I've taught
Research interests:
I study representation theory of (and harmonic analysis on)
p-adic groups. On the side, I study discrete optimization.
More details are available.
You can also see a list of my
papers and preprints with abstracts,
or
without abstracts.
I am also part of a junta that organized an NSF-funded
Research
Experiences for Undergraduates program during the summers
of 2005 through 2007.
I was on leave during the 2005-06 academic year.
Here is some of what I saw.
In case you want to contact me reasonably securely,
or verify my digital signature, here is my public key.
By the way, did you know that I work
several jobs?
