Ward Retaining Wall Replacement Project - Walkway Closure (Phase I)

July 10, 2014 walkway on the North side of Ward (from Nebraska Avenue to Kay Spiritual) will be closed due to replacement of both the sidewalk and the adjacent retaining wall. During Phase I of the demolition period (July 10- July 24) there will be noise, dust and truck traffic in and around the immediate construction site. Pedestrians may use the stairs and walk from Ward Circle (at Massachusetts Ave.) as well as the walkway from Nebraska Avenue (between Ward and Hurst Hall) to access the Quad and Kay Spiritual during this period. Phase II and III will involve additional walk closures with a separate announcement outlining the details. We anticipate the walk to reopen on or before August 12, 2014.
