Ward Circle Elevator Outage

Today, September 19, Ward Circle elevator broke down and is out of service. Repairs are anticipated to be made over the weekend.

Water Outage for CDC Valve Repair On September 20

Saturday September 20 from 5PM to 8PM, 2014 emergency repairs to replace a water main shut off valve located at the northwest corner of the Child Development Center (CDC) has been scheduled.

The following buildings will impacted and there will be no water to the following buildings during this time.Beeghly, Broadcast Center (BCC), Kreeger, Child Development Center (CDC), Hamilton, Vehicle Maintenance Shop.

Large Tree Installation on Quad-September 15 thru September 19

Starting on Monday, September 15th at 9am, a contractor will be working on the quad installing four large oak trees with a tree spade. The work will continue through Friday, September 19th. Work areas will be cordoned off for safety. There will be minor noise. Every effort will be made not to disrupt activities planned in the quad area.

Ward Circle Building Retaining Wall Replacement Project

The Ward Circle Building retaining wall replacement work will resume on Tuesday, August 26th with the removal of the concrete stairway and brick retaining wall adjacent to the Massachusetts Avenue Metro stop. There will be noise and dust related to this work during the wall and stair demolition process. Pedestrian traffic will be directed to the Glover gate entrance or the new Ward Building accessible walkway. We anticipated this phase of the work to be completed by September 22, 2014.
