Campus Parking Rates
American University offers two options for paying for parking:
Hourly Parking - For short term or irregular parking paid by the hour or day in our Pay-as-you-Go lots
Permit Parking - Students (by Semester and Academic Year) and Faculty/Staff (Payroll Deductions and Pay up front)

Payment machines are located in the Nebraska Lot, Katzen Garage, and the SIS Garage. Payment options are VISA, Master Card, Discover, EagleBuck$, and Cash.
Pay-as-You-Go is also available by using Verrus pay by phone. Simply call 1-888-450-7275, follow the prompts, enter location # (lot or garage), Space # and time needed (.35 cent convenience fee will be assessed). You will get a text message or email when your time expires.

Faculty and Staff Permits/Payroll Deductions
Full-time faculty and staff may enroll in Payroll Deductions when they apply for their parking permits. (Faculty and staff members can also choose to pay the full permit amount instead of enrolling in the payroll deduction plan when applying.) Application forms may be obtained from the Parking and Traffic Services office located in the Public Safety building.

Student Parking Rates
If you live in Washington, DC, you must comply with the new DC Parking requirements before completing the Commuter Student's permit application. Any DC commuter student not complying with the DC Parking Requirements will not be issued an AU Parking Permit.
Student Parking Permits must be purchased by semester or academic year, and are not available on a monthly basis.

Summer Student Parking
Students coming to campus during the summer are required to purchase a summer permit or pay to park in the commuter lots. Summer permits are timed to coincide with the various summer course sessions that AU offers. Summer permits may be bought for the period between May 9, 2012 and August 19, 2012.
Summer parking permits are ONLY available to students.
