The Strategic Plan states that “life at AU will be marked by…an active pursuit of sustainability…” In order to fulfill this goal, AU is a Charter Participant in the Sustainability Tracking Assessment and Rating System (STARS), developed a Climate Action Plan, and has adopted several sustainability policies.
The Sustainability Team, made up of students, faculty, and staff, will guide development and implementation of an overarching Sustainability Plan that integrates education and research, facilities and operations, and planning, administration and engagement.
The term of this Team begins in fall 2011 and extends through the end of FY 2014, concluding April 30, 2014, to be reconvened thereafter if/as may be deemed necessary.
