What is it?
Zipcar offers self-service cars on demand for rent by the hour or the day. Rates include gas, insurance, maintenance, and designated parking. Zipcar provides you with instant access to a variety of vehicles located in designated areas on campus and close to American University.

Who can use it?
Having Zipcars on campus, as well as in other nearby locations, provides students over the age of 21, and faculty and staff members 24/7 access to vehicles for short-term use.

How does it work?
You’ll need to enroll in the Zipcar program and set up an account to begin reserving cars. Once you have a Zipcard, you can reserve vehicles on-line or by phone 24/7. You’ll receive confirmation of your reservation, walk to your car, unlock it with your Zipcard, and be on your way.
