The 20 foreign students enrolled in the inaugural semester of Abroad at AU have come from all corners of the globe, and already they have begun settling into campus, moving into their dorms, and striking up friendships with their new classmates. Wednesday, they hopped on the Metro and began getting to know the city they, at least temporarily, now call home.
The students, from 12 countries, and a group of AU student-hosts with whom they'll be paired while they're here, scoured Washington in search of landmarks like the Capitol, the Smithsonian, and the Krispy Kreme donut shop in Dupont Circle. It was all part of a scavenger hunt designed to acclimate the students to their new surroundings.
