President's Circle Dinner

Photo highlights from the 2012 President's Circle Dinner in Bender Arena.

Over 350 of AU's most generous supporters gathered in a beautifully transformed Bender Arena on October 18, 2012 for the annual President's Circle Dinner. Celebrating the robust growth of the campus landscape and the philanthropic efforts of those in attendance, the message of "Building a Better American University" served as a touchstone throughout the evening. The event also honored two remarkable individuals and their contributions to advancing cross-cultural understanding through AU; Susan E. Lehrman and Hani Farsi. Lehrman was presented with the President's Award for her leading role in founding AU's new, immensely successful Initiative for Russian Culture, and Farsi received the Cyrus A. Ansary Award for establishing the Mohammed S. Farsi Foundation Scholarship, along with his career accomplishments in peacebuilding and intercultural dialogue.
