The Kogod School of Business

The Kogod School of Business was established in 1955 as the first university-level business school in Washington, D.C. The school creates market-driven programs that produce outstanding leaders who have both the practical management skills to become effective leaders today and the broader insights to adapt to the challenges of the future.

A critical juncture in the school’s development occurred when Robert and Arlene Kogod helped secure the school’s future and financial foundation with generous contributions, which reflected their vote of confidence in its vision and mission.

Through AnewAU, the school seeks additional financial commitment from its alumni and friends to develop new interdisciplinary programs, recruit and retain exceptional faculty, and successfully attract the most promising students by providing resources for scholarships, co-curricular activities, and comprehensive career services.

In addition, Kogod has completed an expansion that provides state-of-the-art classrooms, a financial services and information technology lab, and a new Center for Career Development. Learn more about the Kogod Expansion and Kogod Capital Campaign or read a Message from the Dean.
