1. Form a Team
Gather up your friends and colleagues around campus to form a team. Teams of 4 are required for participation and should include 1 Team Captain. All teams should be formed prior to registration and each team will need a team name for identification. Every participant will need to complete the online registration form. Individuals who are not on a team should indicate that they are a "free agent" on the registration form. All "free agents" will be assigned to a team by AhealthyU.

2. Register Online
Complete this online registration form (Online registration is now closed. Contact AhealthyU if you would still like to register). Every participant in Fit & Lean must complete the online registration form. Deadline for registration and completing your first fitness assessment and weigh-in is Friday, January 18.
To participate in the challenge, each member of the team is required to sign a liability waiver. Click here to download the AhealthyU Liability Waiver. Signing the waiver indicates that you have received medical clearance to participate in submaximal physical fitness activities.
Each participant must also pay $5, which is directly contributed to the prize pot for the top three teams.
The liability waiver and $5 payment can be mailed to AhealthyU in Letts Lower Level 3, or participants can bring them to the first check in. The liability waiver can also be submitted electronically by using an e-signature or scanning the signed document and emailing it to email@example.com

3. Check In Weekly
During the first week of the program all participants will be required to complete their baseline fitness assessment and weigh-in with AhealthyU. The initial fitness assessment will be comprised of a weigh-in and four fitness tests. The initial assessment will take approximately 10 minutes to complete. The four fitness tests include: a 3-minute step test to test aerobic fitness, a rythmed bicep curl test of upper body strength, a sit/stand test for lower body strength, and a sit and reach test of flexibility. All four tests are submaximal fitness tests that can be performed in work attire or workout attire.
Standings will be determined based on percentage of improvement in fitness scores and weight loss.
The greatest weight loss that can be counted per person in one week is 2 lbs or 14 lbs for the entire program. Participants who have a BMI of 21.7 or less will be challenged to maintain their current weight. Individual weights will not be shared with others.
Participants will be required to check in weekly with AhealthyU for a weigh-in and fitness assessment for the duration of the program. Due to the nature of how the body responds to fitness programs, weekly assessments will rotate each week of the program. Only two assessments, plus a weigh-in, will be performed each week. Week A assessments include the bicep curl and sit/stand test. Week B assessments include the step test and sit and reach. See the schedule below for dates and times for weekly assessments. Missed fitness assessments will result in an individual being given the same score as their original assessment for the missed week. Missed weigh-ins will result in a 2-pound penalty for that individual.
For Fit & Lean in 2013, participants are able to pre-schedule their weekly fitness assessments by using our online scheduler. Participants should CLICK HERE to visit the online scheduler and enter their name in the time that they would like to schedule their assessment. We will also allow walk-in assessments, but participants with appointments will be taken through the assessments first.

4. Win Great Prizes
Each participant will pay $5 to be a part of Fit & Lean in 2013. This money makes up the prize* pot for the top three teams. The first place team will split ½ of the total pot between them. The second place team will receive 2/3 of the remaining ½ of the total pot to split between them. The third place team will share the remaining money from the pot between them.
All participants who finish the program having achieved a 10% improvement in any combination of fitness and weight loss will be eligible to receive great health and fitness prizes from AhealthyU.
