What is it?
All health screenings are provided by professional staff from Wellness Corporate Solutions. Each appointment lasts approximately 15 minutes and includes a consultation to explain your results. Comprehensive screenings include cholesterol (total & HDL); glucose (blood sugar); blood pressure, body mass index (ratio of height to weight), and body composition (percentage of body fat) and are offered at a variety of locations throughout campus, several times a year.

Screening methods
Cholesterol and glucose are measured with a single finger prick (non-fasting). All other screenings are non-invasive. Specialty screenings, such as bone density or vision screenings, may be offered at other times throughout the year.

Appointments
Appointments are highly recommended and may be booked on-line by clicking the "Schedule Health Screening" link above or by calling 877-469-5411. All health information is completely confidential.

Your personal information is protected

WCS maintains strict confidentiality of all participants information in accordance with laws regarding the privacy of personal health information, including HIPAA. AU does not have access to any personal health information.

Access
Health screenings are offered on campus for your convenience. Alternatively, you can schedule an appointment with your primary care physician for an annual physical.

Kaiser Permanente members who have already seen their physician for an annual physical may have access to their information online through My Health Manager at kp.org.

Keep track of your numbers from year to year
Take the online Personal Wellness Profile after your screening. Update the values in your PWP every time you're screened or visit your doctor.

Or, take the PWP before your screening and bring your wellness scorecard and personal report with you to your appointment so you may discuss the results with a health educator.

ONLINE PERSONAL WELLNESS PROFILE - Available April 15, 2013

The Personal Wellness Profile is only available to Full-Time AU Faculty and Staff members at this time.

What is it?
The online Personal Wellness Profile is a questionnaire used to assess overall health and well-being. The assessment takes about 20 minutes to complete and asks questions on topics such as physical activity, nutrition, vehicle safety, stress, sleep, alcohol use, and men's/women's health. Upon completion, you'll receive a wellness scorecard and personal report that includes information and action steps for optimizing your health. The purpose of this tool is to better understand your health status and identify areas for improvement to stay well.

What you'll need
For the most accurate report, we recommend that you have your screening values (cholesterol, glucose, blood pressure, and body mass index) handy from a Know Your Numbers Assessment and Screening Event or from your last annual physical. If you don't have this information, you can either complete the assessment without them, or even enter the screening values at a later date. You'll always have access to the tool and your personal report.
