TICKETS TO INAUGURAL EVENTS

NOTE: As of February 6, all tickets to the Friday evening Inaugural Celebration and Founders' Day Ball have been distributed. No additional tickets are available. Due to security concerns at the Italian Embassy, tickets are non-transferrable and a photo ID is required. Shuttles will run continuously between AU and the embassy and can be boarded in the Sports Center tunnel.

Board of Trustees’ Inauguration Dinner—7 p.m., Thursday, February 7, 2008 (by invitation only)
A private dinner sponsored by the Board of Trustees will be held in the Katzen Arts Center. Additional information will be mailed to attendees in late January.
                                                                          
Inauguration Ceremony—11 a.m., Friday, February 8, 2008
All members of the AU community—alumni, students, faculty, and staff—are invited to attend the Inauguration Ceremony. Complimentary tickets are required for admission.

Delegates from schools, associations, and learned societies should indicate attendance by January 18.  Tickets and additional information will be mailed in late January. Additional information  is available in the Delegate Information section.

Faculty, staff, and students will receive an email indicating the process to obtain tickets. Information about faculty line up, the processional, and regalia rentals is available in the Faculty Information section. Information about staff tickets will be available in late January.

Campus-Wide Reception—2 p.m., Friday, February 8, 2008
Inauguration ceremony guests and members of the campus community are invited to meet President Kerwin at a reception from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. in Mary Graydon Center, first floor. Tickets are not required.

Inaugural Celebration and the Founders’ Day Ball—7:30 p.m., Friday, February 8, 2008
A black-tie party to celebrate the president’s inauguration will be held at the Italian Embassy, close to campus. There is no charge for tickets, but tickets are very limited and are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Due to security concerns at the embassy, all information requested on the response form must be provided. Persons whose responses are confirmed will receive an email providing information about ticket pickup in late January. Responses received after tickets have been distributed will be placed on a waiting list.
