Domestic Production: Software Development, Hardware Manufacturing, R&D

There is no much information with this respect on Peru since software development is minimum and hardware manufacturing is even lower (perhaps zero).  In 2003, Peru ranked 59th out of 82 countries on a research based on whether Peruvian software services compete internationally.  Also, Peru ranked 66th out of 82 countries on another research based on whether Peruvian hardware manufacturing is as extensive as in the world's most advanced economies [52].
