National ICT Policy - Vision 2016

Botswana's
Vision seeks to propel Botswana into the forefront of the IT in the
following respects(1):
- By providing state of the art computer and
communications equipment
- Ensuring all people have access to
telephones, national newspapers, radio and television services
- Providing information about the operations of
government and other organizations freely to all citizens

the Vision 2016, a comprehensive Information Technology Policy has been
developed and is detailed in the 9th National Development Plan (NDP9)(1).
The ICT policy was developed with input from a number of ministries, the
most important being the newly formed Ministry of Communications,
Science and Technology, which is vested with the responsibility of
implementing the ICT policy |
