Personal training is available at the Jacobs Fitness Center. The first session is an hour and consists of an assessment, goal setting and general questions and answers. Workouts are conducted on subsequent sessions. Assessments include: body composition, muscular strength/endurance tests, cardiovascular test, flexibility test, blood pressure, and circumference measurements. Since the first session is generally a fitness assessment, we encourage our particpants to have at least 2 sessions for optimal fitness benefits.
WHY HIRE A PERSONAL TRAINER?
- Beyond the skills to teach exercise, personal trainers motivate others to exercise. The attrition rate is high for new exercisers. Personal Trainers have a passion for exercise and they want to pass it on. Personal trainers want to keep people exercising. They make exercise fun, challenging and safe.
- Working out is much more than just emulating the actions of people who look like they're in shape. Magazine articles on exercise can sometimes be incomplete, misleading or confusing. The path to fitness is often difficult to navigate. Enlisting the skills of a personal trainer may be an excellent investment.
