TEST SCORES

Applicants must submit official score reports for all required entrance exams. If you are submitting test scores for the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) and/or Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), you must ask the testing service to send your scores directly to the Kogod School of Business, American University. For further information, see the GMAT Web site, www.gmat.org. GMAT waivers may be offered for applicants meeting specific requirements for each of the degree programs. Details are located with application requirements for each program.

APPLYING TO JOINT DEGREE PROGRAMS

Candidates seeking admissions to a dual-degree program must receive admission from each of the degree programs separately. The Admissions Committees from each school do not collaborate on the decision-making process.

Kogod Dual Degree Programs

Kogod offers dual degree programs with the School of International Service and the Washington College of Law.

Applicants to the MA/MBA program should complete the Kogod online application form, but may choose to complete the remainder of the application through either Kogod or SIS. The school to which you submit your full application materials will forward them to the other school for their review and consideration. GRE scores will be accepted in lieu of GMAT scores, but any applicant wishing to be considered for merit-based scholarship awards should submit GMAT scores with their application.

Applicants to the JD/MBA or LLM/MBA programs should complete the Kogod online application form, but may request that WCL forward their remaining application materials to Kogod for review and consideration, including LSAT scores in lieu of the GMAT.

RE-ADMISSION

If you filed a complete application within the past two years but did not enroll, you may reactivate your file by submitting a new application form, application fee, updated resume and personal statement. We encourage you to submit any additional information you would like to be considered. Applications for re-admissions are subject to current admissions standards; even if you were previously offered admission to Kogod, repeated offers of admission are not guaranteed.
