Kogod Decision Criteria: I was drawn to American University because of its reputation of academic excellence, make up of its student body and its geographic location. As an international student, I wanted a graduate program environment that would allow me take full advantage of its location’s resources while getting a stellar education. Completing my undergraduate degree in Washington DC, I wanted to continue my educational journey in a city that is the capital of the United States, an international hub, and a city that I love.
Kogod Value: Kogod is a community of students and faculty from different backgrounds and parts of the world. One of the best aspects of my experience in the MS Finance program, at Kogod School of Business is the ability to interact with other international students, as well as domestic students and faculty with similar interests. This has helped me build relationships that could lead to life long friendships and be instrumental in my future endeavors, while receiving the right balance of a rigorous curriculum and valuable application of the course work, through various internships needed to succeed in any financial institution.
