Kogod Decision Criteria: I was initially drawn to Kogod School of Business (KSB) because American University has a strong alumni network in the DC-area and came highly recommended by several of my colleagues who were AU alums. After researching the program, it became clear that Kogod's strong curriculum offered me the right balance of foundational coursework and specialized electives that I was seeking to advance my career. Also critical, the flexible course schedule has allowed me to continue working full-time.
Kogod Value: The quality of the faculty and students has been the aspects of my Kogod experience that stand out the most. In addition to being easily accessible, professors have real-world experience in both economic policy and the financial industry. Through this experience, they are able to teach in a manner that connects financial concepts to their practical application. Similarly, students at AU have diverse backgrounds and professional experience. This helps facilitate engaging class discussion and coursework collaboration.
