5:00 pm – 6:00 pm, Monday, October 21, Mary Graydon Room 247
The annual NYC Site Visit Trip will take place January 7-9, 2014. The trip is co-sponsored by the Career Center, Kogod Center for Career Development, and Office of Development and Alumni Relations. It is open to sophomores, juniors, seniors, and graduate students interested in pursuing a career in marketing, advertising, public relations, journalism, television, film, or a related field.
Designed for career exploration and networking, the trip offers students exposure to select career paths, industry trends, and organizational cultures as well as access to AU alumni living and working in NYC. Site visit hosts focus on sharing their expertise and advice and announce job or internship opportunities when available.
Students may attend a maximum of six site visits from among 21 or more. Previous site visits have included Google, Ogilvy, Ketchum, Steve Madden, CBS News, and Arcadia Creative. The trip also consists of an evening kickoff on January 7 and a student-alumni networking reception on January 8.
A total of 85 students can participate. Preference will be given to those who demonstrate the highest level of career focus and professionalism through the application process.
