About the Peer Consultants
The Kogod Center for Career Development's Peer Consultants meet with undergraduate students to assist with resumes, cover letters, and utilizing CareerSource. PCs hold scheduled appointments from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and 15 minute walk-in appointments from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Fall 2015 Peer Consultants
Max is a junior in the Kogod School of Business pursuing a double specialization in Finance and Information Systems and Technology. Born in the Dominican Republic, Max is a fluent Spanish speaker and has lived in several places around the United States. Now residing in Massachusetts, Max has interned for companies such as Next Step Living and EnerNoc, a global energy intelligence firm. Max has also worked on campus as the Waste Management Analytics Intern, where he monitored American University's diversion rates between composting, recycling and landfill. Outside of school, he is an avid hiker and enjoys traveling. Max is eager to meet with Kogod students and looks forward to giving back to the overall community.
Allison is a senior in the Kogod School of Business pursuing a BSBA with a dual specialization in International Business and Information Technology. Additionally, she has completed a language minor in Mandarin Chinese. Most recently, Allison served as a research intern for Pacific Bridge Medical Consulting in Washington, D.C., but she has also co-founded and served as the CEO of American Bionutritional Care, since 2013. In her free time, Allison is a member of Alpha Xi Delta and enjoys spending time with her two dogs. She is excited to meet and help other Kogod students reach their future career goals.
Jess is a senior in the Kogod School of Business pursuing a BSBA with specializations in Finance and Information Systems and Technology. Jess is involved on campus, serving as the President of Delta Gamma, a social sorority and as a member of the 1955 Club. She has had experience interning in a variety of fields including finance, real estate, marketing, law, and accounting in the DC area. This past summer Jess interned at JP Morgan, working in their Asset Management Division in NYC. Outside of school and work, Jess enjoys traveling and taking time to explore all that DC has to offer. Jess is excited for the opportunity to meet Kogod students and help them reach their career goals.
Laura is a senior in Kogod pursuing a BSBA with a specialization in Management and a minor in Health Promotion. Around the campus Laura is an active member of Alpha Kappa Psi, the business fraternity, as well as an eboard member for the club Lean In. Outside of school, she enjoys traveling and trying new brunch spots. Most recently, Laura worked at Frontline Technologies' where she was able to assist the recruiters in their search for the right person for the job. During the fall of 2014, Laura was also able to work in an agency recruiting firm in London. With both in-house and agency recruiting experience, Laura is excited to help students get the internship or job they want.
Caroline is a senior in the Kogod School of Business pursuing a degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Management and a minor in Literature. She is involved with Kogod in many different capacities, previously working as the Event Planning Intern at the KCCD and a Front Desk Attendant and currently working as the Events Assistant for the school. She has held internships in various fields, including project management, HR, recruiting, and event planning, and her most recent internship was with PricewaterhouseCoopers in their management consulting field. She is also a member of Alpha Kappa Psi, the professional business fraternity on campus, and the 1955 Club, and enjoys traveling, reading, and catching up on TV in her spare time.
