About the Peer Consultants

The Kogod Center for Career Development's Peer Consultants meet with undergraduate students to assist with resumes, cover letters, and utilizing CareerSource. PCs hold scheduled appointments from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and 15 minute walk-in appointments from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Fall 2016 Peer Consultants

Ron Jordan
Ron is a senior in the Kogod School of Business pursuing a BS in Business and Entertainment with a specialization in agency. Ron is active in Kogod and around campus, serving as the outreach coordinator for American University’s BSA, president of the Men of Empowerment and Excellence, and a teaching assistant for Business 1.0 during his time at AU. Ron has interned for Sony Music in the Business Affairs department, Red Bull Records as a scout, and Creative Artists Agency. Outside of school, Ron enjoys traveling, working out and watching comic book movies.

Jacob (JiWoo) Hwang
Jacob is a senior in the Kogod School of Business pursuing a BSF. Jacob is involved on campus, having served previously as the co-captain of the American University Club Tennis Team and Vice President of the Korean Student Association. He has had various experiences interning in finance, mainly in investment banking and growth equity in the DC area. This past summer, Jacob interned at Goldman Sachs, working in their Investment Banking Division in New York City. Outside of school and work, Jacob enjoys spending time in the outdoors and playing tennis. Jacob is excited to have the opportunity to give back to the Kogod Community by helping students reach their career goals.

Taylor McCulley
Taylor is a senior pursuing her Bachelor’s of Science in Finance. She is involved on campus as an active member of Alpha Kappa Psi, the Professional Business Fraternity, as well as Chi Omega. Taylor has worked as a Student Career Engagement Officer on the Alumni Engagement Team in the KCCD as well as with local nonprofits through the Washington Initiative Program. Taylor has also held multiple internships in the finance field. Most recently, Taylor worked as a risk consultant intern for PriceWaterhouseCoopers in New York City. In her free time, Taylor enjoys traveling and reading. Taylor is excited to meet and help other Kogod students reach their future career goals.

Hailey Russell
Hailey is a senior in the Kogod School of Business pursuing a BSBA with specializations in Finance and Entrepreneurship. Around campus, Hailey serves as the VP Panhellenic of Delta Gamma, a social sorority and is the Co-Founder of Smile for a Child, a non-profit to help school children in Negril, Jamaica. She has held internships in a variety of fields including finance, real estate, marketing, and accounting in the DC, Maryland, and Virginia area. This past summer Hailey interned with USAA, working in their Private Wealth Management and Investment Services Department in their San Antonio, Texas Headquarters. Outside of Kogod, Hailey enjoys trying new restaurants in DC and traveling to new cities! Hailey is excited to meet new Kogod students and help them land their dream internship. 

Daniel Sullivan
Daniel is a senior in the College of Arts and Sciences pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Economics, with a minor in Finance. Born in the United Kingdom, Daniel moved to the US to attend American University and is planning on pursing a career in financial advising. Daniel is spending his summer interning for Prudential and has interned for the Institute of Economic Affairs as well as the Cambridge University Economics Department. Daniel is also involved on campus, serving as the President of the Delta Chi Fraternity, a social fraternity and tutoring students in accounting and economics. Outside of school, he is an avid traveler and has recently returned from a semester abroad in Hong Kong. Daniel is keen to meet with Kogod students and looks forward to assisting students in their pursuit for employment.
