  • Lawrence Ward has senior management responsibility for all undergraduate and graduate degree programs in the Kogod School of Business. Specifically, he leads 26 full-time professional staff with responsibility for enrollment management, degree program management, academic advising, career services, international education, student activities and leadership development. Dean Ward is recognized for his critical and creative thinking, leadership, common sense, open communication style, humor, and personal commitment to excellence. Prior to joining AU in 2001, he served as managing director of an organizational development consulting firm based in Vienna, Virginia. He has expertise in change management, organizational development, and business communications.

Additional Information: Lawrence Ward has senior management responsibility for all undergraduate and graduate degree programs in the Kogod School of Business. He oversees enrollment management, degree program management, academic advising, career development, international education, student activities and leadership development. Prior to American University, he held leadership and consulting positions both in industry and higher education with the University of Michigan, University of Connecticut, Aetna Inc., General Electric Company, and Professional Resource Services Inc.
