• Professor Thompson teaches financial accounting and financial reporting. His research focuses mainly on the usefulness for equity valuation of reported accounting numbers and proposed alternatives. Professor Thompson has taught at a number of universities including Virginia Commonwealth University, University of Maryland at College Park, and the University of Texas at Austin.
