Steve’s education background includes an MBA from the University of Virginia’s Darden Graduate School of Business Administration, and a B.A. from Colgate University with a double major in Economics and Political Science. Steve holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) charters

Bio
Steve has over 30 years of finance and investment management experience that includes leading global talent development programs, investment analyst teams, and new product development efforts. He is currently a portfolio manager for over $2 billion in assets and a publicly-traded mutual fund, as well as Director of Equity Research at a firm with approximately $5 billion in total assets. Steve began his career on a top-ranked investment strategy team before attending the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business. He then became a lead sell-side analyst with Oppenheimer before taking the role as head of Americas Technology sector research with Credit Suisse’s global private bank, where he eventually became the deputy head of Americas equity research for the global private bank and asset management. Steve took that global thought leadership expertise to Calvert Investment Management where he oversaw the firm’s process regarding fundamental equity selection and the integration of environmental, social and governance (ESG) information with corporate valuations. Steve has also been the Director of Equity Research with Ameriprise Financial, where his team developed risk-based investment models, structured products, and introduced ESG into the investment research process. Steve has lectured at several top universities and teaches the Capstone MBA course with the Jack Welch Management Institute.
