International Management Practice

Kogod School of Business International Management Practice The European Union

International Mgmt. Practice

The European Union

This undergraduate IMP program, which includes two European cities, begins with a Spring semester course that teaches students global marketplace strategy and management practices as actually applied on a day-to-day basis by companies based in Europe.

Students spend 10 days immersed in company visits with senior managers to experience the state of economic development in the European Union and understand management strategies and practices used by multinational and "multi-national" firms.  This real world experience is accomplished through a series of company visits, factory tours, and meetings with senior managers as well as interactive student-instructor follow-up discussions with European professors and students (all in English).  This is the student's opportunity to fuse classroom theory and learning with the practitioners' actual techniques used to compete in the global marketplace.
