While at Kogod, students have the opportunity to network with and join professional real estate associations, including NAIOP, Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW), International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), Urban Land Institute (ULI), among others. The Real Estate Club, a student-led organization, frequently holds networking events, organizes project site visits, and hosts expert speakers on campus.
Many prominent local Washington, D.C. area real estate developers and professionals are Kogod alumni, and sit on the Real Estate Advisory Council. Additionally, the school's benefactor, Robert Kogod, is the former Co-Chairman/Co-CEO of the Charles E. Smith Real Estate Company.
