Employer:Marriott, Senior Manager of Hotel Operations and Analysis
"What I enjoyed most about the program was the fluidity and relevancy of the courses. Every class incorporated guest lectures by industry professionals, site visits to innovative and unique properties, along with relevant assignments. As part of the program students were also given the opportunity to become certified in Argus Enterprise which is software widely used in the industry.
Another great element was the networking opportunities. Whether through classroom guest speakers, panel discussions, property visits, real estate club events with recent alumni, or case competitions with organizations such as the Urban Land Institute, students had the opportunity to connect with various real estate professionals. During my time in the program I have connected with developers, lenders, entrepreneurs, property and asset managers. I currently work as Senior Manager of Hotel Operations and Analysis for a hospitality REIT and the program at Kogod helped me transition from just an accountant to a knowledgeable REIT professional."
"The MSRE program at Kogod was a great learning and life-changing experience for me. What differentiates the program is the hands on approach to teaching, the dialogue between faculty and students, and the network. We were paired with alumni of the program working in the industry for some of our class projects. The practical and technical skills I acquired from the program continue to serve me well in my career."

"The Kogod School of Business, particularly the MSRE program, provided me with additional financial modeling skills, as well as real world examples, which bolstered my career as an Asset Manager."

"Kogod is large enough to offer abundant learning and career resources while being small enough to form lasting relationships with both peers and faculty."
