Mr. Brooks has recently taken on the role of Sr. VP & CIO at GATX, a Company providing lease financing and related services to customers operating rail, marine and other targeted assets. GATX operates through three segments: Rail, Specialty, and American Steamship Company (ASC). The Rail segment engages in leasing tank and freight railcars, and locomotives. It serves shippers of chemical, petroleum, and food products, as well as railroads. As of December 31, 2006, this segment had 79,592 tank railcars, 49,357 freight railcars, and 27,012 affiliate railcars. The Specialty segment's business consists of leases, affiliate investments, and loans, as well as interests in residual values involving various underlying asset types, including marine vessels, rail, industrial, and other equipment. The ASC segment operates a fleet of self-unloading marine vessels and engages in the waterborne transportation of dry bulk commodities. This segment serves consumers of iron ore, western and eastern coal, metallurgical limestone, and limestone aggregates. The company was founded in 1898 and is headquartered in Chicago, Illinois.
Prior to joining Constellation, Mr. Brooks spent over ten years in the consulting industry. Mr. Brooks began his career in Finance & Accounting consulting before transitioning into IT consulting working for companies such as Accenture and Oracle. Mr. Brooks' focus during his consulting career was on large scale global system implementations across various industries including government, software, publishing, and telecommunications.
