In the introductory business class for undergraduate students, KSB-100 (also known as "Business 1.0"), students work in teams to complete a final project: a promotional video for their "client" - one of the departments on campus.
From the women's volleyball team to the Katzen Arts Center to Kogod itself, students are tasked with promoting their department in the length of a short commercial.
The fall semester's videos were recently put to the test in front of all teams; a democratic vote determined the winners in each category.
Judges provided constructive feedback, including Professors Chidamber, Mazvancheryl, and Walton, along with Kogod Marketing Director Lara Kline.
"This is a popular project with all the students, and it taught them the basics in marketing, like advertising and promotion, using a real client example," said Professor Shyam Chidamber.
