More than 130 students discussed job and internship opportunities with employer representatives at Kogod’s annual Consulting Day networking and career fair.
FTI Consulting, Gallup, Accenture and 15 other employers attended the event, offering students the chance to learn about the broad range of career options in the consulting field.
"You can get questions answered and gain a better understanding of how you might fit within the industry," said Alexander Wald, BSBA '12.
Deloitte had seven representatives on hand from various departments. "Each service area is unique and requires its own set of answers," explained Zachery Schwartz, a Deloitte employee.
Schwartz went on to say Deloitte received a number of good resumes and is "always impressed with the quality of students at Kogod."
New Signature—a D.C.-based IT consulting company—was new to the event this year.
"The AU Career Fair last week was one of the best we've been to," said Sean Feeney, an employee at New Signature. "We're excited to meet a smaller segment of equally enthused students here at Kogod."
Consulting Day was sponsored by the Kogod Center for Career Development and co-sponsored by the AU Career Center and the Kogod Consulting Club.
