Thursday, September 10th kicks off a week of accounting and finance related events at Kogod.
The week presents an opportunity for current students to meet with various alumni and employers within the finance world. Preparing Kogod students for life after school is a large part of what we do here everyday. With the largest freshman class ever welcomed to the school, we want to make sure we are thinking about what happens when they leave the comfortable confines of campus.
Bringing real world experiences to the students helps them formulate academic and professional goals. Meeting alumni who have “walked-the-walk” demonstrates growth potential, and making introductions to firms that hire creates a pipeline for our students.
Accounting and Finance Week 2015 begins today with a Big 4 panel of recent alumni who have transitioned from interns to entry-level positions.
On Monday, September 14, a finance panel will gather, again featuring alumni currently working at the TLC Network, the Travel Channel and SunTrust Bank.
Tuesday, September 15 it’s back to accounting for a panel of alumni and employers featuring representatives from Fannie Mae, Ryan & Wetmore, CohnReznick and McGladrey.
The final events on Wednesday, September 16 are a career fair and networking reception. Students will have the opportunity to meet employers and discuss career opportunities. The reception will be a chance to continue networking.
We can’t wait to see all the relationships created by these great Accounting & Finance events at Kogod.
