Graduate students may join this course as an independent study. Recent locations have included Kenya, Colombia, Israel, UAE and Qatar, Chile, and Cuba. Upcoming locations include South Africa (January) and London (over Spring break, focused on Fashion and Luxury goods). Visit the IBUS 244 web page for more information.
International Dimensions in Management – Sustainability Management
Students in the Master’s in Sustainability Management program will have the opportunity to participate in a dynamic, week long international experience in Denmark, focused on the sustainability in business, tourism, energy, agriculture and city management. Students from all MS programs are welcome to participate in the program.
Professional MBA Experience
As part of the Professional MBA curriculum, you will explore the business culture of a foreign country by traveling to a key economy for a week-long study abroad experience. From airfare and accommodations to site visits and cultural opportunities, we'll arrange all the details. Students will be registered for IBUS 744: International Dimensions in Management for 3 credits as a part of this travel course. You’ll find out where your cohort will travel to during the annual PMBA summer picnic at the end of your first year in the program. Recent cohorts have traveled to Argentina/ Uruguay, Brazil and China.
Full Time MBA Experience
Full-time MBA students will participate in a Global Consulting course during the 2nd semester of study. Teams of 3 to 5 students will be assigned to work on projects for real organizations. Students will have some input regarding which projects are of greatest interest, but in general students should be flexible and open minded when it comes to project location assignment and scope. Please be sure that you have a passport that will be valid at least 6 months beyond the planned end of stay abroad. For students traveling in May 2017, this means your passport must be valid until at least December, 2017.
